Nanban Sports Foundation (NSF) is a non-profit organisation aimed to make a difference in lives of ambitious sportsmen. This organization is driven by a mission to provide a holistic development in the field of sports by contributing towards the objectives outlined below.

Nanban Sports Foundation firmly believes in establishing sports as a rewarding opportunity for individuals, corporate, government, public and India so that athletes who are working to achieve their potential can inspire countless others to strive for excellence.

Support of Upcoming Talent

Spot and nurture talents from the grassroots level and provide them the necessary impetus to excel in their field of play and to strengthen the future of Indian sports and fitness.

Upcoming talented sportspersons who are onboarded as beneficiaries will be provided a total of ₹10 lakhs of financial support over a period of 5 years, credited into their verified bank accounts on a monthly basis. They can use the same for their sports-related expenses and investment, including coaching, training facilities, food supplements (permissible under law), travel for competitions and camps, and any other spend on sports development.

In addition, through the strategic partnerships that we sign with our educational institution partners, we intend to provide high-quality academic trainingfor all beneficiaries, with access to top educational institutions at their base locations, wherever possible.

Criteria for selection:
  • Champions at district or higher level of competition, and ambitious to grow
  • Financial constraints for growth
  • Under 21 years of age as on date

Support of Yesteryear Legends

Identify and support sportspersons who had earlier brought laurels to the country and are now finding it difficult to meet the financial needs for themselves or their families.

Yesteryear sports legends who are taken on board as beneficiaries will be provided monetary support of up to ₹ 4 lakhs per year, for a maximum period of 5 years. In addition, vocational training would be explored to improve employability and financial security for subsequent years. Wherever possible, we will also explore the possibility of involving them in sports as coaches, mentors, trainers and other relevant roles.

  • Represented at national or international level
  • Financial constraints for sustenance
  • Over 40 years of age as on date
